Nabeel Zuhdi

Award-winning guitar performer and teacher Mr. Zuhdi has over 20 years of teaching experience. Graduated in 2017, Mr. Zuhdi holds a master’s degree in music (MM) from the University of North Texas. Currently, he is teaching guitar at Edelweiss School of Music in Plano and New Song School of the Arts in Argyle. 

Influenced by his father, who used to play the classical guitar, Mr. Zuhdi began his classical guitar study at the age of Eight. At sixteen, he was awarded the grade of Excellence in guitar performance at Solhi Al-Wadi Institute of Music, from which he graduated in 1997. During his college years, Mr. Nabeel taught the guitar at all levels and ages while maintaining his performance activity. In year 2003 he won the Moyen-Guitare lère Mèdaille Ascendante competition at the National Conservatory of Jordan in collaboration with the Conservatoire National de Region Ville de Boulogne-Billancourt, France. In 2017, he earned his master’s degree (MM) from the University of North Texas in Guitar Performance.
Mr. Zuhdi is experienced in developing fingerstyle guitar techniques for beginners and advanced students within a constructive, project-based, goal-oriented framework. Based on research, Mr. Zuhdi believes practical, systematic, and short task-specific strategies are crucial in acquiring skills. This learning process should be based on a pedagogy that considers performing arts health concepts, such as practicing while minimizing stress and strain. Mr. Zuhdi's approach to teaching is interdisciplinary and borrows principles and models from firmly established disciplines such as sports science, biomechanics, and occupational science. Mr. Zuhdi is an active performer and has over twenty years of guitar teaching experience.
